recanRSVP is operated by RecanHQ Ltd (“RecanHQ”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17109002. Our registered office is 26 Lake View Close, Plymouth, United Kingdom, PL5 4LX.

recanRSVP lets event organisers manage guest lists, invitations and responses. Contact us at support@recanhq.co.uk.

These terms apply when you create or use an organiser account, purchase a recanRSVP plan or use an invitation as a guest. A paid contract is formed when PayPal confirms your purchase and we activate the selected plan.

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or manage an organiser plan. If you buy for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Consumers keep all rights that cannot lawfully be excluded by these terms.

Your organiser email address, password, profile and account number may be shared with other supported Recan organiser services, including recanSNAP. Each app has its own login session, product features, event data and paid plan. Buying a recanRSVP plan does not buy a recanSNAP plan.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe somebody else has accessed it.

Current prices, plan limits and billing intervals are shown on the Pricing page and again before you approve payment in PayPal. Prices are in pounds sterling. PayPal processes the payment under its own terms and privacy notice.

• Single Event is a one-off purchase for one active event and does not renew automatically.
• Pro and Business are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout.

We activate purchases as soon as PayPal confirms them. Plan limits shown when an event is created or managed apply according to the active plan and the service rules displayed in your account.

A recurring plan renews automatically at the displayed interval until it is cancelled. You can cancel through the Billing page or PayPal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your account or event data. Single Event plans have no recurring renewal.

If you buy as a consumer, you normally have a legal right to cancel an online service contract within 14 days after purchase. Because you ask us to activate the service immediately, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the service supplied before you cancel. If the service has been fully performed during that period following your express request and acknowledgement, the legal cancellation right may end.

To request cancellation or a refund, email support@recanhq.co.uk with the account email, product and purchase date. Nothing in this section affects your statutory remedies where a service is faulty, not as described or not provided with reasonable care and skill.

You are responsible for:

• the events, guest lists, questions, branding and instructions you publish;
• having an appropriate lawful basis for collecting and using guest information;
• telling guests how their information will be used;
• ensuring guests reasonably expect event messages sent through the service; and
• responding to guest privacy requests and complying with applicable law.

Guests do not need an organiser account. A personal invitation link may allow its holder to view or update the associated response, so organisers and guests should keep personal links private. Organisers decide who is invited and remain responsible for the accuracy of their event information and guest records.

You grant RecanHQ the limited rights needed to host and process event and guest data, send requested event messages and operate recanRSVP. We do not acquire ownership of that data.

You must not use recanRSVP to:

• send unsolicited, misleading, abusive or unlawful messages;
• collect or disclose personal information without a lawful basis;
• infringe privacy, copyright, trade marks or other rights;
• upload malware or interfere with the service; or
• evade service limits or gain unauthorised access.

Guest personal data, including names, email addresses and RSVP responses, is anonymised 30 days after the event date under our scheduled retention process. Anonymised event records and totals may remain so that organisers can retain non-identifying event history. Organisers should export anything they need before the retention date.

Deleting an event or closing an account may remove information sooner and cannot be undone. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.

We provide recanRSVP with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise uninterrupted access, but we will take reasonable steps to restore the service after an incident. We may make proportionate technical, security or legal changes. If a material change adversely affects a paid recurring service, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and explain available options.

We may suspend access immediately where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful use, serious abuse or protection of other users. For other material breaches, we will normally explain the problem and give a reasonable opportunity to put it right before termination.

You may ask to close your account by emailing support. Closing the shared organiser account can affect access to other Recan services. Subscription cancellation and account closure are separate actions, so cancel any recurring PayPal agreement as well.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing limits your rights under consumer law.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses arising from consumer use, or for loss caused by information, links or instructions supplied by an organiser.

If you use recanRSVP wholly for business purposes, our total liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for recanRSVP in that period, except for liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons. We will make updated terms available here. Where a change materially affects an active paid service, we will provide reasonable advance notice and will not use a change to remove accrued statutory rights.

These terms are governed by English law. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain the protection of the mandatory laws and courts available where you live. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
